South Korean Ambassador to Indonesia Kim Young-sun met with Energy and Mineral Resources Minister Jero Wacik to discuss investment opportunities in energy and mineral resources in Indonesia.
“We talked about oil and also a gas power plant,” Kim Young-sun said in Jakarta on Monday as quoted bykompas.com.
He said that cooperation with Indonesia was needed because Indonesia was a very important partner for Korea, with many Korean companies already operating in Indonesia.
He said Korea had invested in many sectors in Indonesia, such as in steel and electronic industries and has now expressed interest in investing in the oil and gas sector.
Young-sun added that his country also hoped to develop green energy, renewable energy and also improve Indonesia’s competitive technology capacities.
